The palate is soft and seems slightly coarse at first, with a slight phenolic grip countered by fairly obvious liqueur sweetness. With nuts, served as an aperitif, it comes into its own, showing richness and generosity as well as refinement, and better palate harmony. It's less suited to oysters. (50/50 chardonnay and pinot noir. This bottle was in better condition than the previous one tasted)
