Discover this Tasmanian Chardonnay Pinot Noir
Coldstream Hills was established in 1985 by James and Suzanne Halliday and has since grown to become one of Australia's leading and most awarded small wineries. With a historical connection to Tasmania, with both James Halliday’s championing of the region and the decision to previously source from the region for the award winning 2011 Roslyn Vineyard Pinot Noir, our ongoing access to Tasmanian fruit is a natural extension to our Yarra Valley range. This wine embodies the purity of Tasmania’s fruit. The racy acidity of Chardonnay is combined with the delicacy of Pinot Noir. A finely balanced combination of vintages, aged on lees to enhance its complexity and character. Pure lemon fruit and delicate citrus blossoms and hints of almond meal and hazelnut on the nose, this is a beautifully fresh and precise style, with stunning persistence and linearity, and a fine-textured, mineral finish.

Sparkling Varietals
Sparkling wine is a type of wine that is carbonated, giving it a fizzy and bubbly texture. It is a popular drink for celebrations and special occasions, but it can also be enjoyed on its own or paired with food. There are many varieties of sparkling wine, each with its own unique flavor profile and characteristics.
One of the most well-known varieties of sparkling wine is Champagne. Champagne is a sparkling wine that is produced in the Champagne region of France. It is made using a specific method called the traditional method, which involves a secondary fermentation in the bottle. This process creates the bubbles that Champagne is known for. Some famous Champagne brands include Moet & Chandon, Veuve Clicquot, and Dom Perignon.
Another popular variety of sparkling wine is Prosecco. Prosecco is an Italian sparkling wine that is made using the Charmat method, which involves a secondary fermentation in a large tank. Prosecco is known for its fruity and floral flavors, and it is often used in cocktails. Some famous Prosecco brands include La Marca, Mionetto, and Zonin.
Cava is a Spanish sparkling wine that is made using the traditional method. It is produced primarily in the Catalonia region of Spain and is known for its crisp and refreshing taste. Some famous Cava brands include Freixenet, Codorniu, and Segura Viudas.
Sparkling wine is also produced in other regions of France, such as the Loire Valley and Burgundy. These wines are often made using the traditional method and are known for their delicate and complex flavors. Some famous French sparkling wine brands include Vouvray, Cremant de Bourgogne, and Crémant d'Alsace.
There are also many sparkling wines produced outside of Europe. In the United States, sparkling wine is produced in California, primarily in the Napa Valley and Sonoma County regions. Some famous American sparkling wine brands include Schramsberg, Domaine Carneros, and Chandon.
Sparkling wine is a versatile drink that can be enjoyed in many different ways. It is often served as an aperitif before a meal, but it can also be paired with food. Sparkling wine pairs well with seafood, cheese, and light appetizers. It is also a popular drink for celebrations, such as weddings and New Year's Eve.
