Well known for their dedication to quality, Voyager Estate harness the coastal climate and gravelly soil of Margaret River to produce fruit of purity and finesse. It's no secret the region produces exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon which is the dominant grape in this blend. 79% of the 2005 is Cabernet Sauvignon with 15% Merlot, 5% Malbec and 1% Petit Verdot, all of which components create a luscious palate of sweet dark and red fruits, supported by fine, layered tannins. With a few years under it's belt, the wine will still age gracefully for another decade.

Merlot is believed to have originated in the Bordeaux region of France, where it is still widely grown today. Critical Acclaim
At almost 10 years of age, this has not developed in quite the direction I would have predicted. It's very seaweedy in the regional vegetal style, with a medium-to-light bodied palate with very light, soft tannins. It has intensity but is just a little thin, and those vegetal flavours are not very pleasing. Elegance and lightness are its defining features.
