Critical Acclaim

Great upgraded to Exceptional vintage. Medium to deep red/brick-red colour. Slightly vegetal. Red fruits and smoky, peppery and graphite high notes. A touch of green walnuts. The palate is a trifle lean and the herbal tannins firm up the finish. It falls away somewhat short on the finish, with a touch of drying astringency. Certainly not an 'exceptional' bottle.
